Up for sale, a 1963 Fender Stratocaster, complete with the original blonde tolex hardshell case. With the kind of natural playwear that would make any heavy relic green with envy, this Stratocaster has aged to a diffused two-tone Sunburst on top, while the back retains the richer reds and yellows of the original burst gradient. 100% original save for a five-way pickup selector and bone nut, golden age Pre-CBS features include a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard on the full-feeling neck carve, a mint green nitrate pickguard, and black bobbin pickups that all retain their original windings.
Extremely bold, clear and detailed acoustically, this Stratocaster’s alder body is an ideal platform for the trio of single coils, which offer distinct and vital tones at each position on the five-way pickup selector.
