1970s Morris W-40 Vintage Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar, Rosewood & Spruce, Japan

1970s Morris W-40 Vintage Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar, Rosewood & Spruce, Japan

Up for sale, a 1970s Morris W-40 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Made at the Terada factory in Japan, this expertly crafted vintage dreadnought has a broad dynamic range and many cosmetic refinements that parallel Martin's D-45 model, with abalone top binding and rosette, hexagonal fretboard inlay, and the Morris name oriented vertically on the headstock face.

The tonewood complement includes a solid X-braced spruce top, jacaranda rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, and ebony bridge. Weighing 5lbs 1oz, the guitar offers bold, broad square-shoulder dreadnought muscle, with good kick in the low end, a balanced, rich sound across all strings, and a sparkling and clear treble register. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Morris W-40 is dialed in with comfortable action and 12-53 bronze strings.
