This rare Les Paul iteration is one of just 300 produced to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Les Paul production, boasting a pair of hum-cancelling P-100 pickups and a gloss Ebony nitro lacquer finish accented by gold hardware. This particular Les Paul is 100% original save for an upgraded bone nut.
This Les Paul was produced during an increasingly heralded era of Gibson production colloquially known as the “good wood” era, and tonewoods include a solid mahogany body, maple top, mahogany neck, and bound ebony fingerboard, effectively hybridizing the Standard and Custom platforms. The P-100 pickups deliver P-90 bark, glassy treble presence, and midrange power, and the second dummy coil ensures hum-free performance.
