1991 Gibson Les Paul Standard 40th Anniversary Limited Edition Ebony, 1 of 300 w/ P-100s, Case
1991 Gibson Les Paul Standard 40th Anniversary Limited Edition Ebony, 1 of 300 w/ P-100s, Case
Up for sale, a 1991 Gibson Les Paul 40th Anniversary in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This rare Les Paul iteration is one of just 300 produced to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Les Paul production, boasting a pair of hum-cancelling P-100 pickups and a gloss Ebony nitro lacquer finish accented by gold hardware. This particular Les Paul is 100% original save for an upgraded bone nut.
This Les Paul was produced during an increasingly heralded era of Gibson production colloquially known as the “good wood” era, and tonewoods include a solid mahogany body, maple top, mahogany neck, and bound ebony fingerboard, effectively hybridizing the Standard and Custom platforms. The P-100 pickups deliver P-90 bark, glassy treble presence, and midrange power, and the second dummy coil ensures hum-free performance. This Les Paul 40th Anniversary weighs 9lbs 12oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
