1999 Gibson ES-135 Limited Edition Thinline Semi-Hollow Guitar Wine Red w/ '57 Classic PAFs, Case

1999 Gibson ES-135 Limited Edition Thinline Semi-Hollow Guitar Wine Red w/ '57 Classic PAFs, Case

Up for sale, a 1999 Gibson ES-135 Limited Edition in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Essentially a hybrid between an ES-335 and an ES-175, this unique (and discontinued) Gibson model boasts a thinline semi-hollow body with a chromyte center block to improve attack and reduce feedback. The result is a guitar that has the good looks of an ES-175 and the enduring popularity of the 335's feel and body depth.

Not to be confused with the matte finish "Studio" versions of the ES-135, this Limited Edition version of the 135 was crafted at Gibson’s widely celebrated and now shuttered Memphis factory, boasting a gloss Wine Red nitro lacquer finish accented by gold hardware. Outfitted with the original pair of Gibson's '57 Classic PAF pickups, this ES-135 delivers plenty of sweet growl and harmonic richness in the bridge position, contrasting nicely with the girth and warmth of the neck pickup. Weighing 7lbs 15oz, this ES-135 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

Neck Specs:

-Wood: Maple (three-piece)
-Shape: Slender ‘60s-style C, measuring .815” 1st fret, .975” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood, dot inlay

-Nut: 1 11/16”
-Tuners: Grover Rotomatics
-Serialization: Eight-digit stamp dates to ‘99
-Factory Markings: “Limited Edition” decal on back of peghead

Body Specs:

-Pickups: ‘57 Classic PAF humbucker x2
-Controls: Volume x2, Tone x2, Three-way pickup selector

The gloss Wine Red nitro lacquer finish exhibits subtle vertical checking, and cosmetic wear is limited to an isolated area of shallow buckle rash central to the back, some minor finish scratches and just a couple small dings. The nitro gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean.

The original brown Gibson USA hardshell case is included.
