2011 Fender Limited Edition ‘65 Princeton Reverb FSR Surf-Tone Blue w/ Ftsw, Cover
This amp captures the robust, sparkling cleans of Fender's mid-60s Princeton Reverb circuit with great detail and nuance. Warm and clear at low volumes, the amp breaks up smoothly when pushed hard and is an excellent pedal platform. And with tube-driven spring Reverb and a nice choppy tube-driven tremolo circuit, the Princeton's onboard effects round out the ideal studio and stage combo.
The 10" Jensen P10R speaker compliments the Princeton's circuit very well, with a clean Jensen foil label on the magnet bell and a pristine green frame with a date code from the 2nd week of 2011. The tube complement comprises a Fender 5AR4 rectifier, a pair of Electro-Harmonix 6V6 power tubes, and a quartet of Groove Tubes 12AX7 and 12AT7 tubes in the preamp.
The Surf-Tone Blue enclosure is quite clean, boasting a Limited Edition badge on the back, with cosmetic wear limited to just a few minor marks on the edges. The silver sparkle grillcloth is pristine, and the faceplate presents equally well. The stock hardware is also present, including the chassis straps, handle caps, and sphinx glides (feet).
The original two-button footswitch and slip cover are included.
