This short-lived Strat model was produced exclusively for the Japanese domestic market, featuring a trio of Fender’s USA-made Texas Special single coil pickups.
Weighing 7lbs 10oz, tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard. Fender’s Texas Specials match vintage spec with black fiber bobbins, cloth-covered leads and staggered alnico magnets, delivering classic Strat tonalities with a slightly aggressive overwound snap. The bridge pickup has a rich upper midrange and chewy sparkle (offering the hottest signal of the pickup trio), while the neck has a full, bell-like cut.
